In September 2024, I ran a Scriptwriting Masterclass at the AVIJOZI Festival in Johannesburg. It was open to everyone, which created a small problem, namely, what topic would be relevant to the more than 100 participants? I put the problem to the class, and asked people to put up their hands and ask any questions they had about writing in general, and screenwriting in particular. We listed more than 20 questions in 15 minutes, and that drove a class that had to end after 4 hours, when we were kicked out of venue. One of the participants suggested continuing the session online, and calling it "Fridays With Fidel". Thus, this thing was born.

The first session will begin once we hit 100 participants. Each session will begin with collecting questions from all the participants, and then will proceed to address them one by one. All sessions will be free at first, and will last for one hour between 10h00-11h00. Note: If the need arises for a paid subscription for a conference calling platform like Zoom, then that will give rise to a cost, but that will only be if the free solutions can't hack it.*
